Western Mine Service, Inc. is now accepting applications for experienced dual-shield wire welders for our Winnemucca, Nevada location. We are a weld repair, mechanical, and fabrication company that services the mining industry. Work is completed strictly on heavy equipment that is used in production in local mines: dragline buckets and rigging, shovel sticks and dippers, haul truck beds, on-site work, large rebuilds, un-decking of shovels, lowering booms, revolving frame circle repairs, G.E.T maintenance. Work is completed in our shops, as well as on-site at mines. Short-term overnight or daily travel for jobs is required. Welding we complete is done using 1/16" dual-shield flux-core wire. A weld test must be performed before hire. The test includes cutting a 45 degree bevel in a 1" thick plate then vertical welding a 3/8" backing strip. Starting pay $14-24/ hour DOE and weld test. 50-80 hours worked per week, holidays and weekends may be required. We offer a full benefits package.
